The Stones River ARC is affiliated with the Amateur Radio Emergency Service. Meetings of the ARES Group are held monthly at the Rutherford County Rescue Squad Building at 1504 W. College St., Murfreesboro 37129 on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Weekly Nets are held on the W4CAT/KB4ZOE/KU4B Repeater System at 7:30 PM CT Tuesday Evenings. In the Event of an Emergency, nets will be activated on the W4CAT/KB4ZOE/KU4B Linked Repeater System (See Below).
W4CAT/KB4ZOE/KU4B Repeater SystemThe following is a description of the repeaters in the system: 145.37,
224.66 - Located in Nashville near Joelton. This site serves as the 147.36, 223.96 - Short Mountain (Near Woodbury, TN) The highest elevation of the sites at 2300 ft. Houses remote bases on 2 meters, 220, 440, 6 meters, and 10 meters. 145.41 - Tracy City (Near Monteagle). Allows linking past Monteagle reaching into Chattanooga and northern Georgia. www.qsl.net/nqy4 224.56, 442.65 - Lookout Mountain, TN. 224.56 is permanently linked to the 220 system. The two meter and 220 systems are usually kept separate. 224.48 - Madison, TN area (north of Nashville) 224.16 - Nolensville, TN (south of Nashville) 224.06 - Greenbrier, TN (north of Nashville) 224.36 - West Nashville |
